He is an Egyptian actor and singer. He released several albums and went on to star in the movie, If It Weren't for You (1993), due to the massive success of his song by the same name (Lolaaky). He also starred in A Star Is Born (1991), after which he gradually disappeared from the spotlight, then he later appeared in a few roles, including the movie The Lion of Sinai (2016), and the series Omar & Diab (2020). He died in 2021 of cancer.
