A Syrian poet and writer, born in 1936 in Muhasan, Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria. He received his school education between his village and Deir ez-Zor. He's known for Drought Kills the Dew (1979) and The Red Tear (1980). In addition to his homeland, he lived in the countries of the Arabian Gulf, and settled for a long period in Kuwait until he died in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1987.
