A Syrian poet and writer, born in 1936 in Muhasan, Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria. He received his school education between his village and Deir ez-Zor. He worked in in Syria, then in Kuwait, until he...Read more returned to Deir ez-Zor and got married when he was unable to marry the one he loved. He's known for Drought Kills the Dew (1979) and The Red Tear (1980). In addition to his homeland, he lived in the countries of the Arabian Gulf, and settled for a long period in Kuwait until he died in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1987.
