American actor, who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on December 28, 1914. Among his most important works are Love Affair (1939), Cover Girl (1944), and The Adventures of Ellery Queen (1950). He graduated from the University of Cincinnati, studied acting at the American Academy...Read more of Dramatic Arts and worked in several films with small roles until 1937. His breakthrough was in Paramount's I Met Him in Paris (1937). He worked at that studio for a while before moving to RKO and then to MGM. In the 1950s, he worked on radio and television until he retired in 1968 and used his talents to work as a communications consultant for companies, businessmen, and politicians on how to address the public and give interviews. He also gave media training. He died on December 25, 1979 in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, USA.
