She attended a Catholic school in New York City, and in 1957, her father joined Radio Free Europe and the family moved to Munich, where she became interested in acting, and studied at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts. She made her debut in the German film Lana - Königin der Amazonen (1964), and while filming Amsterdam Affair (1968), she met and got married to the actor William Marlowe, and later moved to London. Her works include Moon Zero Two (1969) and The Black Windmill (1974), but was best known at the time for The Return of the Pink Panther (1975).
