On a program called “Check Mate” hosted by Heba Al Abaseery an interview with Hani Salama revealed the following : He does not believe that the Muslim brotherhood should be in power , because religion and politics are 2 separate things and politics is a dirty game. He refuses the idea that Egypt should resemble Saudi Arabia in terms of governing. He was also against including any scenes from the revolution or using that in the form of business to make money. He says people are fed up of those kinds of movies. As for the movie “One Whole One” he says that 3 female stars were nominated, Ghada Adel, menna Shalaby and Basma. Ghada refused to do the role while Basma was chosen for it. As for the movie “In a State Of Love” in which he co starred with singer Tamer Hosni, he said that the movie was a hit, but his only concern was how unprofessional Tamer was with cast and crew during the shooting, in regards to coming late or not on time skipping rehearsals etc.
