After the death of his mother, Yehia decides to return to Alexandria, the place where he first grew up and fell in love with the girl next door. He gives up his job as a physician, and takes up fishing. He learns a lot from the stories of other people and discovers the meaning of life while meditating out at sea.

Following the death of his mother, Yehia decides to return to Alexandria. This was the town where he first grew up. It was also where he met his first love, a girl that was his neighbor. He also gives up his career as a physician and works as a fisherman instead. While meditating out to sea he discovers a deeper and more profound image of life.
