The legal advisor Galal meets his cousin Safia, a university doctor whose husband recently died, and offers her the position of mayor of their village. It becomes clear that Galal and the family want to make her the mayor so that they can impose their control over the other families.

The villagers show different reactions when they meet Safia, who finds a dead body when she arrives and calls the police. Meanwhile, it becomes clear that the Al Dahisha family is involved in drug dealing. Safia revolts against the circumcisions performed in the clinic and seeks to stop them.

Safia threatens Nemat with imprisonment if she does not stop performing circumcisions. Meanwhile, Kaber threatens her husband Hamed after noticing his admiration for Safia, his cousin. Elsewhere, Galal refuses Dergham's offer to make Kaber, his daughter, a mayor instead of Safia.

A shooting takes place in the cattle market, and several animals die. Shelbaya compensates the mayor for all those harmed after the attacker is arrested. Galal checks the accounts with Hamed and Hafez and scolds them for the crude theft.

Galal warns Dergham and Shelbaya from taking more than their share of the village's lands. Safia and a group of women launch a campaign of awareness about the dangers of circumcision but are met with rejection by the villagers. Later, Safia attends a football match and a riot ensues.

Gamal saves Safia from the riot. Kaber complains to Galal that Hamed, her husband, is interested in Safia. Shelbaya scolds her brother Mansour for his work in deporting illegal immigrants via boats, one of which sank, causing one of the villagers to die in the accident.

Safia learns from Galal and the warden that many villagers aspire to immigrate illegally. Hamed disagrees with Diab about who has priority in buying Basili's land. Salma rejects Samer's rude attempts to get close to her.

The priest and the people escape when extremists attack Basili's home. Hafez tries to drive a wedge between Suhair and Safia after Suhair claims her right to the inheritance and the latter complains to Safia about her tragedy. Mahgoub offers Hamed his partnership in a new project.

Abu Nehro hints to Dergham that he knows that he is behind the attack on him and tells him that the deed to Basili's land is stolen, but he has copies of it. Suleiman asks Mansour to help him travel to Italy, but the latter warns him. Galal persuades Hamed to allow Safia to audit the accounts.

Safia pays a surprise visit to the school, and she does not like its conditions, so she donates to improve it and asks Gamal to help her. Sheikh Dawara asks Gamal to stop painting murals, but Gamal refuses. Shelbaya meets with Sheikhs Dawara and Abdul Barr to conspire against Safia.

Galal tries to convince his wife and children to visit the village. It turns out that Shelbaya uses the money of the villagers for suspicious activities. Safia helps a woman who was threatening to commit suicide. Gamal tells Safia about his past and his previous imprisonment.

Salma asks Kaber to help her get rid of Samer's harassment. Atman fails to get a loan to send his son away. Najida tries to ally with Hafez and informs him of the need to put an end to Safia's liberal policies, but he finds no response.

Safia's sisters try to get her to help them get their inheritance from their cousins, and Safia learns of Suhair's husband's work with Galal. Nemat supplies Dergham with raw materials to make drugs. Galal announces to his brothers the real reason for choosing Safia to be the mayor.

The villagers go with Safia to protect Basili and his family from the extremists. Basili hints to Galal that he refuses to sell his land to anyone. Safia asks Salah to set up a surveillance system in the village streets, and he avoids telling her the identity of the person blackmailing Bedour.

Samer, Salma's groom, tells her that she is his fiancée and threatens her family. Safia's cousins object to the idea of installing cameras, as do Dergham and Shelbaya, but Galal convinces them of the matter. Shelbaya tries to get the money buried in the cemetery before it is found.

Samer is arrested, and Safia fights with Galal over guaranteeing him. Diab informs Abu Nehro of his doubts that the latter is covering up for the thief who stole the carton from Al Dahisha. Salah tells Safia who is blackmailing Bedour. Rufaida informs her of her mother's agreement to perform another circumcision.

Samer continues to terrorize Salma. When Hafez behaves inappropriately with a new teacher, Suhair apologizes to her and asks Galal for help. Safia stops Nemat from performing new circumcisions.

Salma's groom informs her of his attachment to her. One of Dergham's sons rebels against his family, so they punish him. Galal tells his psychiatrist about his suffering from chronic headaches. Shelbaya visits her partner, who works in money laundering. Hafez is digging for antiquities under the school.

Shelbaya sneaks into Safia's house in Cairo and is surprised by the arrival of Hamed's daughter. As Safia is trying to solve the problem of child marriage in the village, Nemat plans a campaign against it.

After Nemat campaigns against Safia on social media, a call is issued to protest against her, but no one responds to it. Samer slays Salma when she slaps him in front of people, so Diab asks Salah to erase what the surveillance cameras have filmed.

Dergham asks Galal to help with Samer's case, but when Galal refuses, Dergham threatens him. Safia learns that Salah has deleted the recordings incriminating Samer. Diab asks Nemat to help him discredit Salma. Dergham offers blood money to Atman, but he refuses it.

Quarrels break out in the village over what happened, and Dawara raises people's anger with his speech at Friday prayers. Galal meets with Dergham and advises Samer's defense on the case, while Diab seeks to bribe witnesses.

The witnesses agree to refuse the bribe from Al Dahisha, and Samer's trial begins. Shelbaya incites Diab against Dergham. Hafez informs Suhair of her husband Amin's marriage to someone else. Kaber testifies in court, and Galal refuses Safia's request to be the civil plaintiff in the case.

Dergham upsets Diab by forgiving Kaber. Dawara blackmails Hafez upon learning about his excavations. Shelbaya learns of Mahgoub's infidelity. Amin must decide between Suhair and his other wife. Gamal warns Dergham of the spread of drugs. Najida is surprised by the change in his son's thoughts in prison.

After the villagers burn down Dergham's drug warehouse, he gets arrested and claims that one of his sons owns the warehouse. Safia threatens Shelbaya to report her. Salah gives Safia a video incriminating Samer, so she submits it to the prosecution. Abu Nehru tells Safia the truth about Dergham's sons.

Safia informs the police about Shelbaya, who takes revenge on Mahjoub for his betrayal. It becomes clear that Diab is involved in the accident that killed one of the Bakhita family members, who are bargaining with Diab. Suleiman prepares to travel with Mansour.

Hafez learns that he has been accused of harassment, and Galal asks him to stop excavating for antiquities. Suleiman refuses to travel, and Samer is sentenced to death. Diab tries to convince Rida to confess to what he did. Amin mends fences with Suhair. Al Bakhita kills Diab.

People ask Shelbaya for their money. Dergham's sons fight over his wealth during his illness. The guards and Salah monitor Safia's house to find out the intruders' identities. After learning of Diab's death, Rida confesses the truth. Dergham and his children are arrested, except for Kaber and Salah.

Galal shocks Safia with the wealth of their family. Rida tells Kaber and Salah why he didn't implicate them in the case. The tunnel collapses on Hafez during his excavation, but he is rescued. Shelbaya burns herself. Rufaida informs Safia that her parents are involved in a terrorist operation.

Abu Nehru informs Safia about the village families' involvement in the antiquities trade and about Dergham killing her father in front of Galal. Najida and Neamat are arrested. Hamed returns the inheritance to his cousins. Galal is arrested while trying to travel.
