A Turkish director, screenwriter, and producer, born on May 6, 1934, in Istanbul, Turkey. He was the brother of cinematographer Kenan Davutoglu and uncle of actor Burak Davutoglu. During his career that spanned from the 1960s to the 1990s, he directed, produced, edited, and wrote...Read more many films, in addition to being the director of 36 films. He first started working as an assistant set designer at İpek Film Studio in 1950, when he was only 15 years old, after which he worked as a camera assistant at Acar Film Studio in 1953. Later on, in the 1960s, he worked with director Osman Seden, and they made several films together. The first film Zafer directed was Adanalı Tayfur (1963), which was written by Osman Seden. In 1973, Zafer Davutoglu turned to directing more TV productions. He died in 1998 in Istanbul, Turkey.
