He established a production company called Hercules Film in 1981. In the same year, he directed the movie Brides from Cane, which was also selected to participate in the same festival, as part of the Directors' Weeks segment. In 2005 he directed the film The Detained Memory, which did not deviate from the rule, and won the Grand Prize at the Tetouan Festival of Mediterranean Cinema and the Screenplay Award at the Cairo Film Festival, after which he directed the movie At Dawn.
