A Hungarian-American director and producer. He directed 39 films and television programs of his own and worked as a second unit director in 16 films and series. Marton worked in cinema until the mid-1970s. He directed films for the British cinema, including Two O'clock in the Morning (1929), and for the German cinema as well, such as Demon of the Himalayas (1935). Among his American films is The Longest Day (1962). He only directed one Hungarian movie in 1935. Marton directed for Egyptian cinema the historical film Wa Eslamah (1961).
