He worked as an assistant director in several short and feature films. He co-directed his first film, The Mice Room, with six other directors, and it was screened in the official competition at the Dubai Film Festival and the Sao Paulo Film Festival in Brazil in 2014 as well as other festivals around the world. He directed the documentary I Have a Picture, which premiered at the El Gouna Film Festival and won the Best Arab Documentary Film Award in 2017.
