An Egyptian actor who was born in Alexandria in 1896. He was interested in acting, singing, and music since his childhood. He gained fame in 1920 when he presented some theatrical works competing with actor Ali al-Kassar in particular. Although his troupe had limited...Read more capabilities, it achieved success that lasted for 25 years. The troupe was known for these plays, The Words of Princes, The Monkey Trainer, and Noah’s Ark. He used to present sketches and humorous monologues, written and composed by him. He presented many monologues for Mahmoud Shokoko, who joined his troupe in the 1930s. In 1944, the band's activity stopped due to war. He acted in A Lebanese at the University, and Love Train. He died in June 1952.
