Biography

A writer and journalist, born on February 21, 1930. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1954. He worked as a journalist at Dar Al-Hilal in 1958 and progressed in his work until he reached the editor-in-chief of Al-Kawakeb magazine. He wrote in Al-Wafd newspaper a satirical...Read more weekly article entitled “Hammariat”. He wrote several plays, most notably The Apple and the Skull, based on the novel of the satirical author Muhammad Afifi in 1969. He co-wrote some films, in which he also co-starred, including Fat Cats, and Tears in Laughing Eyes. Among his books are The Shock of Nudity and God's Chosen People. He passed away on October 6, 2003.
