He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus as an actor. He played the main role in The Gate of The Sun: The Return. The film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004.He worked as an assistant director in a number of Syrian feature films. He was the co-founder of a company specialized in film and television production and distribution. He also works as a director of documentary films and frequently participates in seminars and juries in specialized international festivals. He holds a degree in acting in 1998. He also worked as an assistant director in several films, including the movie The Fund of the World by Osama Muhammad. He wrote regularly for the Lebanese newspaper As-Safir between 1997-2002. Through his work with Dox Box, he won several awards with his partner Diana El Giroudy, including the Catherine Cartledge Award and the European Documentary Award in 2012.
