A police officer, poet and novelist. He was famous in the early decades of the twentieth century and known as Sherlock Holmes of Egypt, was born in 1896 in Alexandria. But he soon dropped out to join the Police and Administration School, where he obtained its degree in 1920. He became the legend of the Egyptian police during the twenties. He got married to the granddaughter of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Arousi, Sheikh of Al-Azhar in the era of Khedive Tawfiq. He joined the investigations and worked as an officer in some governorates of Egypt from 1921 to 1930, then he moved to the Coast Guard, who had many adventures, which he described in his books , among them "The Strangest What a Police Officer Has Encountered". His literary activity also included a large group of famous poems. He also wrote a historical biography of Muhammad Ali Pasha and another biography of the leader Ibrahim Al-Fateh. Among his works is A Crime in the Quiet Neighborhood movie. He died on July 21, 1972 in Alexandria.
