In 1978, he starred in the musical The Wiz, opposite singer Diana Ross, but the film did not achieve the desired success. Jackson then collaborated with producer Quincy Jones on his first solo album Off The Wall in 1979. Jackson continued to release albums, including Thriller in 1982, which is the best-selling album of all time. Jackson's huge success earned him the title King of Pop. On June 25, 2009, American pop legend Michael Jackson died at the age of 50, of a heart attack, after paramedics tried to revive him for an hour. He appeared in the films Moonwalker (1988), and Men in Black II (2002).
