A New Zealand writer and producer, born in Wellington. She is the wife of director Peter Jackson. She's best known for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. She won three Oscars in 2004, for Best Picture, Best Original Song and Best Adapted Screenplay for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Her other credits include King Kong (2005) and Mortal Engines (2018).
