She also wrote the screenplay for the recent adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” (2010), making her the first and only woman with a sole writing credit on a movie that grossed a billion dollars. Woolverton has also written two novels, several theatrical productions and multiple television series. Her various writing credits include: “Dennis the Menace” (TV; 1986), “Star Wars: Ewoks” (TV; 1986), “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” (Film; 1993), “Aida” (Theatre; 2000), “Artic Tale” (Film; 2007), and “Maleficent” (2014).
