"Out of Sight" (1998) was the beginning of a long collaborative relationship with director Steven Soderbergh, which produced "Traffic" (2000) and "Ocean's Eleven" (2001). Cheadle played a conflicted investigator in the race-drama and Academy Award winner for Best Picture "Crash" (2004). Also in 2004, Cheadle played the lead role in "Hotel Rwanda," earning him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. After the film, he got involved in campaigning for the end of the genocide in Darfur, and co-authored "Not on Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond." Cheadle was named U.N. Environment Program Goodwill Ambassador in 2010. Cheadle now stars in the Showtime sitcom "House of Lies." His performance on the show earned him a Golden Globe nomination and an Emmy Award.
