An American actor and producer, born on September 11th, 1959 in Alexandria, Minnesota to a family of Scandinavian and British origins. He went to Texas to begin his career as an actor and musician. He appeared for the first time in Police Academy (1984). His works include Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Sessions, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Winter's Bone for which he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
