Add/Update Information: Joan Micklin Silver - Director

An American director, born in Nebraska, United States. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College in New York in 1956. She also taught music and wrote several plays in the local theaters of the city of Cleveland. She moved to New York in 1967, after which the Learning Corporation of America commissioned her to write and direct a series of short films, such as The Immigrant Experience: The Long Long Journey. Some of her credits include Crossing Delancey (1988) and Chilly Scenes of Winter (1979). She died on December 31, 2020.
