Antonioni was an Italian director and writer, born on September, 29, 1912 in Ferreira in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. He co-wrote A Pilot Returns (1942) with Roberto Rossellini, and worked as assistant director on I due Foscari with Enrico Fulchignoni. His notable works...Read more include The Vanquished (1953), The Lady Without Camleias (1953), Blow-Up (1966), and The Adventure (1960), which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1994, he was given an Honorary Academy Award. Antonioni's final film was a segment in Eros (2004). He passed away on the 30th of July, 2007 in Rome.
