Isla Fisher is a Scottish-Austrian actress best known for her memorable comedic roles in "Scooby-Doo" (2002), "Wedding Crashers" (2005), "Hot Rod" (2007), "Definitely, Maybe" (2008), "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (2009), and...Read more2009), and "Bachelorette" (2012). Fisher got her start on the long-running Australian soap "Home and Away," which launched the careers of Heath Ledger, Naomi Watts and Chris Hemsworth and more. At the age of 18, after working in commercials and children's television shows for a number of years, Fisher published two teen novels with the help of her mother. She's said in interviews had she not had success as an actress she would have been a writer. Her hilarious performance in "Wedding Crashers" won her the Breakthrough Performance Award at the MTV Movie Awards. Fisher, a critic of the lack of substantive roles for female comedians in Hollywood, has co-written a script entitled "Groupies" with SNL veteran Amy Poehler, as well as another project, "The Cookie Queen." In 2013's animated epic "Rise of the Guardians," Fisher voiced the part of the Tooth Fairy. In her most serious project yet, Fisher was cast as Myrtle Wilson in the highly anticipated "The Great Gatsby" alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton. Fisher married her longtime partner, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, in 2010. They have two daughters.
