Afterwards, he appeared with the French star Julie Delpy in the movie (2 Days in Paris) which he wrote and directed. He also played a small role in (The Bourne Ultimatum), but the American public started recognizing him after Quentin Tarantino chose him for the role Fredrick Zoller, the German war hero in Inglorious Basterds.
