She was a political activist and an advocate for women's rights. She also participated in the student demonstrations in 1968. Her notable work includes Celine and Julie Go Boating (1974), Cousin cousine (1975), and Chanel Solitaire (1981). She was married twice and had three children. She died in a tragic swimming pool accident on April 24, 2011.
