He was selected among the first crew for the channels Nile International and Nile News. After that, he returned to Cairo, where he worked on Al Hayat channel, presenting the program Al Hayat Al Youm. In late 2013, Amer moved to MBC again with the program Happening in Egypt. He appeared in a number of productions as himself, including the movie Forced Escape, and the series Maemon & Co.
