Ahmed Saied was born on August 29, 1925. He worked in Akhbar Al-Youm and Dar Al-Hilal after finishing high school. After graduating from the Faculty of Law, he joined the Egyptian Radio in 1950. As a broadcaster, he conducted the first public referendum in Egypt about the cancellation of the 1936 treaty. He has many articles and books, and his works include a short film, Wooden Box (2009), and the play The Satiated (1966).
