His debut in the cinema was in the movie Rio Conchos (1964). He was known cinematically for his strong role in the movie The Dirty Dozen in 1967, where he played the role of the commando "Jefferson". In the early seventies Brown's popularity grew and he began to embody difficult roles, then he turned to television to increase his popularity. During the eighties he turned to play comedy roles in many films.
