He is best known for Hum Tum Aur Woh (1971), Qurbani (1980), Dabangg (2010), and Dilwale (2015). He received two Filmfare Awards, one was a Lifetime Achievement Award, and the other was for Best Supporting Actor for Haath Ki Safai (1974). He passed away on April 27, 2017, at the age of 70.
