American actress, born on December 11, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. She won several awards for her role in the American series Knots Landing (1993-1979). She was in a long romantic relationship with Richard Holland. Her father was an oil company executive and her mother was a dancing coach. She also was a political activist and human rights advocate with a role in many cooperative organizations. She never got married but has one daughter, Chloe. Among her most notable works are A Very Cool Christmas (2004), and Love Is a Four Letter Word (2007).
