He is an Egyptian novelist and screenwriter who was born in Cairo. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English Department, Cairo University. Essam is known for writing the series, Round Trip (2015). He also wrote a collection of short stories and novels, including "1/4 Gram". He also worked as the general manager of Montana Studios for film production.
