Tunisian singer and composer, born on July 12, 1910 in the city of Sfax. He has also participated in Egyptian, French and Italian films. His artworks were broadcasted on many international radio stations in London, Paris, Moscow and Cairo. He published a poetry collection entitled “The Day and the Night.” Among his most prominent works: Doing Myself Injustice (1952), Nahed (1952), and The Fool of Kairouan (1937). His health had deteriorated in his last days, so he was admitted to the sanatorium. He died on January 3, 1982.
