She received a BA in Dramatic Arts from Washington University in 1957 and she left for Hollywood, and three days after her arrival, she participated in the movie The Bonnie Parker (1958). She continued to work in films, but she did not get the required stardom. She was a fun guest on dozens of TV shows, and during that time, she appeared in many shows on Las Vegas theaters. Her only son Robert Day Jr became a musician. She retired from artistic life at the beginning of the seventies after she married and devoted herself to taking care of her son and her garden.
