Dolores Costello was nicknamed "The Goddess of the Silent...Read more Screen". She was the daughter of famous silent film actors Maurice and Mae Costello. Dolores first appeared on the screen at the age of 7. In the early twenties, she worked in the theater, and when sound was introduced to films, she was suffering from a lisp that took two years to get rid of. She died on March 1, 1979, in Fallbrook, California.
