Anne Revere is an American actress, born in New York City, on June 25, 1903. She won an Academy Award in 1946 for National Velvet (1944). Ann Revere studied at Wellesley College, then trained as an actress in the American Laboratory School. She worked in the early thirties in the...Read more Broadway theater and in the cinema, but focused more in the theater until the beginning of the forties, to provide the role of the mother in American cinema. Revere died on December 18, 1990, in Locust Valley, New York, of pneumonia. Among her most important movies: Gentleman's Agreement (1947), and A Place In the Sun (1951).
