She was an Egyptian poet, born on October 7, 1935 in Tanta. She received the principles of the Arabic language at the hands of her father and memorised many collections of poetry. She joined the Faculty of Law at Cairo University and graduated in 1960. She worked as a lawyer...Read more until 1963, then joined television and rose through the ranks until she became Director General of Legal Affairs on television. Aleyya El Ga'ar was a member of various unions and associations. She represented Egypt at the Arab Lawyers Union's Conference and at the Al-Mirbad Poetry Festival for several years, and won the ideal university scarf for Cairo University in 1956, and the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Prize for Poetic Creativity for Best Poetry. In 1990, after suffering from illness, the poet Aleyya El Ga'ar died on April 7, 2003.
