Harry Morgan was an American actor born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 10, 1915 as Harry Bratsberg. He won an Emmy Award in 1980 and a Golden Boot award in 1998. He died on December 7, 2011 in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, from pneumonia. He graduated from Muskegon High...Read more School in Michigan in 1933, and joined a theater group in Washington, before he signed a contract with Fox to present his first films, The Omaha Trail (1942), then his films followed with Fox and Universal until they reached 100 films. On radio and television, he presented several successful series. In the thirties, he presented a number of plays in Broadway theaters in New York. He is famous for participating in the movies The Dragnet (1987), and The Shootist (1976).
