An Armenian choreographer, ballet dancer, and actor, born in Armenia. He appeared in more than 60 films during his 40-year career, which began in the late 1950s. He's best known for his starring role in the 1969 classic film The Color of Pomegranates. He was the President of the...Read more Armenian Academic Theater Ballet in the 1980s. He was also the principal ballet dancer of the same theater. Among the awards he received are the Order of St. Mesrop Mashtots in 2011 and the People's Artist of the Armenian SSR in 1967. He died on 4 June 2021.
