An American comedian, actor, and writer, born on January 23, 1919, in Trenton, New Jersey, USA, as Ernest Edward Kovacs. He married Bette Lee Wilcox (1945-1952) and they had two daughters before their divorce, then he married actress and writer Edie Adams (1954-1962) and they had...Read more a daughter. He is known for The Ernie Kovacs Show (1961-1962), Bell Book and Candle (1958), and The Ernie Kovacs Show (1952-1956). He suffered from pneumonia and doctors told him that he would die if he did not quit smoking, and after his recovery, he joined the radio and excelled in writing and composing songs as well as performing them. He also worked in television and received the Sylvania Award. Kovacs joined the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in 1957 and presented his first films in the cinema in the same year, and his production company won many awards for commercial advertisements. He died on January 13, 1962, in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
