Biographies:

• Lebanese journalist and director. He was born in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon to a father who was the imam of a mosque. He attended the Youth School and obtained an...Read more intermediate certificate. He joined the Acting and Music Club and participated in the theater in his youth after joining with his sister, the well-known artist Siham Rifqi, with the encouragement of the artist Mohammed Salman. His first radio work was a drama that took a month and a half to record and was titled Jamil Buthaina, then he participated in the drama A Storm on the Borders, which was broadcasted on Radio Damascus. He worked at Near East Radio in Beirut for many years. In 1956, he moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to work at Radio Jeddah. where he took the position of broadcaster and director. He moved to Kuwait in 1960 to work at Radio Kuwait and continued since then until he died in Kuwait. Among his most famous works on Kuwait Radio is the “Juhayna News” program with Na’asat Al-Jundi, which he presented from 1973 until his death. He also contributed to presenting the program “A Window on History.”
