He completed university studies later in 1989 and joined the local religious current and adopted Islamic knowledge as a basic goal and took strict stances towards songs, representations, and so on. In 1991, he joined the Muslim Brotherhood and stayed with them until he was imprisoned in Al-Ha'ir prison in 1992 with Mashari Al-Dhaidi until he was released in 1994. After his release, he caused some schism among the Brotherhood. He fled because of being pursued after the bombing of the Supreme Court to Yemen, Jordan, and some Arab countries, and there he was opened to multiple criticism of heritage and the purposes of Sharia. He returned to Saudi Arabia after two years with a completely different thought from his previous thoughts, after he reviewed the books of secularism, modernity, Marxism, and nationalism. He is known for the series Black Garments (2017).
