She made her movie debut in 1939 and is best known for The Time of Your Life (1948), Don't Bother to Knock (1952), Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), and Quicksand (1950). She died on December 7, 1984, in Newport Beach, California, USA, of lung cancer.
