In 1960, he joined the British Royal Court Theater Company, where he appeared in more than a dozen plays, including Taste of Honey, the play he performed on the famous American Broadway theater in New York City in 1960. From his works that gained international fame: A Man for All Seasons and Chariots of Fire (1981). He passed away at the age of 85, on the 25th of october 2013 after suffering from pneumonia.
