Among her most important works: The Go-Between (1971), The Loved One (1965), Court Martial (1954) and Dr. Kildare (1965). In 1971, she contracted multiple sclerosis, but she did not allow the disease to disrupt her career, and she continued her work resisting the disease. In 1975 she was no longer able to walk, but she continued to work, and next she died of complications from the disease. She died on January 13,1976.
