An Australian producer, writer, and director, born in Canberra, Australia. She attended Melrose High School. She moved to Alice Springs at the age of 18 and joined the Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association. She founded Blackfella Films in 1992 and has produced several feature and documentary films, with the primary aim of focusing on Indigenous issues in Australia. Among the most prominent works she wrote and directed are Bran Nue Dae (2009), First Australians (2008), and The Australian Wars (2022).
