An American sportswoman and actress, who was born in New York City on January 20, 1940. She won six medals in a row (1 silver and 5 gold) in the World Figure Skating Championships from 1955 to 1960, and she won an Olympic gold medal in 1960. She married American skater Hayes Jenkins in 1960 and had three children. She is known for Snow White and the Three Stooges (1961), Here's Hollywood (1961), and The Ed Sullivan Show (1958-1959). She became known for the world champion in figure skating as she started skating at the age of six in New York, and won the American championship in 1951 for juniors. In 1952, she won the youth championship, and in 1954, she won the American championship. In 1956, she participated with the American team in the Olympics in Italy and won silver award. She won first place in Germany and retained the title for 5 consecutive years. In 1960, she won the Olympic gold medal in Germany, graduated from New York University, and married the American figure skating, world champion Hayes Jenkins. She participated in TV shows and American cinema.
