Kaplan was an American comedian, screenwriter and playwright. He graduated from District High School in 1943, obtained a degree...Read more in English in 1947 from Brooklyn College, and came to Hollywood in 1947 to write for radio and theater. He took theater lessons at the University of Southern California. He was discovered by Oscar star Katharine Hepburn, and acted with her in Adam's Rib (1949). Marvin Kaplan is best known for: Wild at Heart (1990), A New Kind of Love (1963), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Mad World (1963), and The Great Race (1965).
