Truman Scholarship. After graduating with honors and receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in American history and literature, he attended Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and graduated in 1986. Upon graduating, he worked as a law clerk to U.S. Circuit Judge J. Edward Lumbard of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. After working several years at the U.S. Attorney's office in Brooklyn, he started working in 1993 at The New Yorker, and in 1996, he became a television legal analyst for ABC. He has given on-air legal commentary on several high-profile cases. He is known for American Crime Story (2016-2021), Get Me Roger Stone (2017) and O.J.: Made in America (2016).
