An American actor, he was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 27, 1884. Harry was married to Bernice Gorman, who remained with him until his death. He began his career in vaudeville in 1906, after which he appeared in uncredited roles in films from 1936. He's known for The Heiress (1949), Tomorrow Is Another Day (1951), Words and Music (1948), and Baby Face Nelson (1957). He also made numerous television appearances, including the series The Andy Griffith Show. He died of a heart attack in 1967, at age 82.
