An American actor and screenwriter, he was born in New York City, on April 7, 1915. Stanley was married to Florence Harriette, they had three children, and their marriage ended in divorce. He mostly played minor and comic characters. He made his film debut in The Atomic Kid in 1954, after which he appeared in numerous roles on TV and films. He also wrote a number of episodes for various TV series, including Mister Ed. He's known for Lilies of the Field (1963), Nevada Smith (1966), and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). He killed himself on April 27, 1977, at age 62.
